Tibetan monks and nuns use bell covers such as this one to carry and protect their ceremonial bell and dorje. This one is made by Lama Dorcheen (pictured) of Lhagang’s Golden Stupa, who enjoys having something to do with his hands. The inside is made of reeds covered with spun yak hair, and the outer is handtanned yak leather. All fixtures are handmade by Dorcheen. This bell cover includes a tie on the outside of the dorje, and both the bell and dorje are included.
About 20 cm tall.
