Yak Down Nambe Cloth

  
 

These two cloths are both made of pure yak hair. This cloth is handspun and handwoven from the down on the undercoat of the yak. It is made in Lhagang District, but nomadic women. It is made of pure yak hair, with no additions.

Felted Maroon Nambe (Yak Down Cloth)

This cloth has been dyed maroon during the felting process. The dye is commercial but the color is traditional for this area.

Unfelted Brown Nambe (Yak Down Cloth)

This is the unfelted nambe. This cloth is good to buy if you would like to make a larger piece, and felt it yourself.
